Opening its arms to welcome and receive, this collaged and constructed little house was the culmination of another amazing immersive and collaborative art workshop at Joanna Axtmann’s DC studio. Along the way, we offered up pieces of pastel and ink drawings we made over the week, for others to incorporate into new works if they wished. I relished the opportunity to glean, repurpose and find fresh inspiration in these bits, appreciating how others tapped the same materials, each in her own way. What a joy to be surrounded by curious, open and generous artists, each listening to and following our own melody. Thank you, Joanna, and fellow workshop artists!
